Titanic was released in 1997, it is a romantic/drama film about the ship Titanic that sank in 1912 but it is not actually a true story about what happened that day. Researchers are looking for the heart of the sea necklace and the get Rose to come in and to tell the story. There are two main characters in titanic, Jack Dawson who is played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Rose Dewitt Bukater who is played by Kate Winslet. Jack is a poor guy originally from America but he has travelled around the world trying to sell his art but has been unsuccessful so when he wins Titanic tickets in a poker game he is excited to be going back to America. Rose on the other hand is a Rich posh girl whose parents are divorced and her father took all the money and now they are poor, the only way they can get their money back is if she marries Caledon Hockley also know as Cal played by Billy Zane, but Rose does not love Cal she is only marrying him to please her mother. Rose is unhappy she run out on the deck and tries to jump overboard , but Jack see her before and stops her, by thanking Jack, Cal invites him to dinner, at dinner Jack impresses everyone but Roses mother and fiancé Cal because they are both threatened that Rose will go off with Jack, which she does. Cal is so jealous of Jack that he frames Jack for stealing the necklace that Cal gave to Rose near to the beginning of the film. Jack gets arrested and is sent to the bottom of the ship until the reaches to America, but before that the boat hits an iceberg but they thought it was fixed and later on realised it is not fixed and realises the boat is sinking all the women and children are made to get on the boats as there are not enough for everyone rose and her mother get on one but rose jumps off to find Jack. She get Jack and Jack makes her get on another boat but yet again to jumps off so she can stay with Jack again Cal get jealous and tries to kill them, by then the water has almost reached the top floor of the ship by time they get to were the boats are, they are all gone. The boat sinks whilst there on it and jack saves Roses life and Jack dies a boat comes and rose is saved. At the end we find out Rose had the Heat of the sea necklace all along, she chucks it in the sea. I found this movie very interesting and I enjoyed watching it.
